Fire management is one of the main mechanisms to build and maintain good relationships between stakeholders in the buffalo supply chain and the owners of the land and the buffalo.  Collaborative fire management is a key component of the NT Buffalo Industry Council's Code of Practice.  Fire management and weed management are intertwined and are both of major cultural and commercial importance in the NT. The key message about fire is collaboration and communication between land owners/managers and buffalo industry participants.
