Dear Members and Guests,
Please see additional information on livestock movements to the port as well as a reminder to restrict travel through checkpoints unless you (or your workforce) meet the essential worker criteria.

Subject: NTLEA Update: Lockdown from 12.01pm today for 72 hours for Darwin, Palmerston, Darwin rural area and Katherine
Good afternoon,
Re: Full lockdown from 12.01pm today for 72 hours for Darwin, Palmerston, Darwin rural area and Katherine
Further to the attached announcement, advice from the NT Government confirms the establishment of checkpoints to control these lockdown zones.
Movement restrictions are being strictly enforced, especially at checkpoint crossings. These sites include on the Stuart Highway north of Adelaide River, as well as surrounding Katherine and on the Arnhem Highway.
Any supply chain movement must be limited to essential only. Appropriate identification and documentation must be carried by relevant workforce personnel at all times.
The NTLEA will remain in regular contact with the NT Government in the coming days. To help offset the risk of any logistics choke points and to ensure the NT Government is able to facilitate the movement of livestock trucks, please confirm:
- Any deliveries to the Port scheduled for the next 72 hours, including the RPs from which cattle will be consigned
- Scheduled delivery of livestock to RPs in the coming 72 hours
Any information relating to scheduled supply chain activity beyond this 72-hour timeframe is also most welcome, especially in case the lockdown is extended beyond midday on Thursday.
I will provide further relevant information as it comes to hand. For specific enquiries, please call 1800 193 111.
Thank you,
TD.
